Liverpool fans react to Suarez comments on potential return
The Uruguayan left the club in the summer of 2014 for £75 million, making him the third most expensive footballer in history. That was after he had the season of his life in which he scored 31 goals in the Premier League to equal the 38-game record and almost lead the Reds to title glory.
He then left Reds supporters salivating at the thought of a return as he commented post-match saying he’d only play for Liverpool should he return to the Premier League (via BBC). And as unlikely as it is that he’ll come back to England, it at least opens the door for a return to Anfield, where he played by the far the best football of his career.
