Manchester United to offer Phil Jones, Chris Smalling and Ashley Young new deals
The trio are out of contract in the summer but will be given the chance to sign multi-year extensions PLUS Defender search update as loan looms for Blackett
The trio are all out of contract at the end of next season, but United chiefs have moved swiftly to secure their futures with the Old Trafford giants.
Jones and Smalling have formed a successful central defensive pairing in United’s last two games, including Sunday’s 2-1 win at Liverpool.
Young, whose future looked uncertain with the arrival of Louis van Gaal, has thrived under the Dutchman - playing as a wing-back and winger down United’s left.

They will be offered between three and four-year extensions, with Van Gaal having been impressed by all three since taking charge last summer.
United are hopeful of tying all three down to improved agreements in the coming weeks, having already signed Michael Carrick up for a further season.
ESPN reported on Monday that Borussia Dortmund are ready to listen to offers for the German World Cup-winning centre-back.
And Spanish news source Super Deporte claimed United have sent a club official to Spain to negotiate a deal for Valencia defender Nicolas Otamendi.
* MANCHESTER United defender Tyler Blackett will be allowed out on loan to give him more first team experience, writes John Cross.
Blackett, 20, broke into the first team at Old Trafford this season but has struggled to get games in recent weeks. United boss Louis Van Gaal is now ready to listen to offers from Championship clubs before this week's loan deadline closes.
