Dream job for Northampton businessman and Manchester City fan
Signs Express, Northampton
A Brackmills businessman and Manchester City FC supporter welcomed the commission of a lifetime, when he was asked to transform a Nissan Le Mans show car into his football team’s colours. Mark Meadowcroft, who has run Signs Express in Salthouse Road on Brackmills Industrial Estate for six years, took a call from Nissan asking his signs and vehicle graphic company, Signs Express, to turn the race car into a fitting centrepiece for the City v West Bromwich Albion game at the weekend.
In just three days Mark and his team of vehicle wrappers gave the car a totally new look, giving the red racer a Sky Blue body and completing the make-over with Manchester City branding.“When we first got the call all I knew was that I would be doing the job for a Premier League club.
“Imagine my amazement when I found out it was my team!
“A huge thanks to the team for their total commitment to the job.
The icing on the cake was that we won 3-0. I couldn’t have written the script any better myself,” Mr Meadowcroft added.
Sara Homer, chair of the Brackmills business improvement district (BID), added her congratulations to Signs Express.
“This is an estate thriving with dynamic, innovative businesses so it was wonderful to see this Brackmills company taking centre stage at such a high profile Premier League football match,” she added.
