Liverpool defender Jose Enrique has hailed Chelsea’s veteran striker Didier Drogba and Thierry Henry as two of the greatest strikers in Premier League history, on his twitter page.
The 29-year-old Spanish defender was in action in the Liverpool FC All-Star Match, which was organised to raise money for the club’s foundation, Alder Hey’s children’s hospital, and was also a fitting send-off for Steven Gerrard, who announced his decision to leave at the end of the season.
The match featured two sides captained by Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, and ended in a 2-2 draw with the likes of Didier Drogba and Mario Balotelli giving Carragher’s side a 2-0 lead, before Gerrard scored twice from the spot.
After the game, Enrique hailed Blues striker Drogba and Thierry Henry on his Twitter page and referred to them as two of the greatest strikers in Premier League history.
Thierry Henry has begun coaching at Arsenal with a view to earning his coaching badges, Arsene Wenger has confirmed (via Independent). The former striker has long been tipped as a future Arsenal manager and confirmation that he is coaching the club’s youngsters will be viewed as his first steps to doing so.
Drogba, who still on the other side of the white line, has already enjoyed success with the Blues this season, winning the Capital One Cup and is on course to winning another trophy in the form of the Premier League, providing his side pick up enough points from their remaining nine games.

Drogba has had to settle for a bit-part role for Jose Mourinho’s side, with Diego Costa being first-choice for the west London club.
The Ivory Coast forward has scored three goals in 21 appearances, mostly as a substitute, and has created 10 chances for his team-mates, as they have reached the summit in the English top flight.

Drogba will be hoping to end this season on a high by helping the Blues to the Premier League title.
Mourinho’s men face Stoke after the international break and will want to get their winning momentum going as the title race heads into the final few months.
